This non-smoking guest house is centrally located in a quiet residential area of Reykjavik, within easy walking distance of the local attractions. Opened in June 2004, the 10-bedroom guest house offers modern conveniences, including Wi-Fi internet access, free of charge, within comfortable rooms, with contemporary decoration. During the day you can easily walk into the city centre and explore the sights, alternatively you can venture further afield with the Fly Bus, situated just 500 metres from the guest house. To relax, you can enjoy the garden and terrace, overlooking the historic city, or you can simply unwind in the comfort of your bedroom.

The house was originally built in 1944 as a family home for Sigurvin Einarsson and his wife Jorina G. Jonsdottir; the grandparents of the guesthouse’s current owner. The house was completely renovated before its opening as a guesthouse in June 2004 and the garden was also extensively remodelled. Alba Guesthouse now offers 10 rooms with shared facilities, including 3 family rooms that can accommodate up to 5 people.
Rates quoted are in EUR on our website. Upon check out at the hotel, charges will be in ISK and exchange rate from EUR to ISK will be the daily exchange rate. Please note that in case you are settling your hotel bill in local currency or by credit card there might be a difference in the room rate due to the currency exchange rate changes.
